New York Governor Eliot Spitzer was accused of paying for a service with a high-priced call girl Monday. Spitzer was caught arranging to meet in a Washington hotel room with a prostitute the night before Valentine's Day. He was caught on a federal wiretap while on the phone with a call-girl from a business known as the Emperors Club VIP. He made a public statement saying that he has disappointed and failed to live up to the standard he expected for himself. "I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family." If Spitzer resigns, Democratic Lt. Gov. David Paterson would become New York's first Black governor. (Arizona Republic, 3/11/08)

Service is the element best shown in this article. It is so important to know what the state governor is doing in terms of how it can affect New Yorkers. Timeliness is also an element because it is only a matter of time before Spitzer will resign and New York will have to find someone to fill his shoes.

An elderly couple residing in a triple-wide trailer in rural Avra Valley, Northwest of Tucson, were discovered by a Pima County sheriff of having 800 small dogs. A spokeswoman with Humane Society of Southern Arizona described filthy conditions, three dead dogs and Chihuahuas, terriers and Pomeranians were taken out of the home along with 82 parrots. The couple agreed that the pet situation got out of control and were in over their heads. There were no charges against the couple but they made an agreement with Pima County sheriff Sgt. Terry Parish. Proximity and service are elements displayed in this article. It provides awareness about the cleansiness and health conditions that could possibly affect the community.
