Hillary Clinton as added another touch to her campaign arsenal.  In response to Barack Obama out and outspending her in the presidential race, Clinton has loaned her campaign $5 million last month in an apparent attempt to remain on top. "I believe the campaign would have a great month fundraising in January. We intended to be competitive and we were.", Clinton stated outside her Arlington, VA headquarters. Obama raised an astounding $32 million for the month of January, compared to Clintons $13.5 million. While the $5 million was an addition to that amount, Clinton aspires to raise another $3 million over the internet in the next three days.

As a journalist, I see this story as being the biggest because it shows the race is heating up more than it already has. This story uses the elements of timlieness and conflict, because with the large discrepancy between Obama and Clinton's fundraising monies, its anyones guess as to how this race may turn out. It is difficult to try to predict now, and this story came on the heels of the Super Tuesday results. With Clintons determination and drive to catch up and even take the lead, last months low figures will only be a small setback. Fitting the service element, setting the goal of raising $3 million in three days shows she is not prepared to fall without a fight. This may be a sign of determination to the voters. I think the best story of the week was the Giants triumph over the Patriots with a score of 17 to 14. With the Patriots undefeated record of 18-0, most expected the Giants to go home defeated, however they proved everyone wrong in the grandest way possible. Earlier a struggling team, the Giants have shown other underdogs across the country that like a phoenix, it is possible to rise again.
